Essay 1: My
Future and My Dream Job
My vision for the future entails many
goals that I know I will have to work hard to achieve. I feel that
the path to accomplishing my goals will be though hard work within
my education.
My formal education is a factor that has
been the basis for my success throughout primary school and high
school. I believe that it will continue to be the tool that will
lead me to success in the future. My first and foremost plan is to
graduate from high school. I consider this to be a huge
accomplishment considering that many people don't make it that far.
After graduation I will be attending one of five Colleges and
Universities to which I am still waiting for a reply from.
I will attend my chosen school for the
following four years. During that time I will obtain the knowledge
that I will need for my future career. I hope to graduate after
those four years with a bachelor's degree in business. My dream job
is to become a buyer for major clothing lines. I have been
interested in the fashion industry my whole life and I love to go
shopping and pick out clothes.
I feel that the combination of all of
the opportunity in the business world, along with my interest in
fashion will be the winning formula for my success. Along with using
my education as a key to open the doors of success and working hard,
I am positive that! will be able to
achieve my goals.
Essay 2: My
Future and My Dream Job
Well! I´m good at
Mathematics, Art, exploring or discovering new things… I like
English, socializing and Science... I don´t have a special hobby,
but in my free time (if this can be considered!!) I like singing,
writing lyrics in English, searching for information about many
things, taking photos and travelling.
With so many things I like, I think that every job can be
“acceptable”, except jobs where the employee has keep himself
imprisoned in an office all day long… But the funniest thing is that
I’m a little bit lazy and I would like to be a singer ever since I
know myself…
But right now I would like to be a doctor! I know that the bad part
is that doctors have to keep themselves in an office, but who
cares?!… I like helping people very much and I enjoy learning all I
can about everything! I only hope that my future job will bring me
lots of success!!!
It´s obvious that when we go to a job interview we shouldn´t chew
gum, come unprepared, look down onto the floor, put our leg up or
play with items on the desk, slap the interviewer on the hand, be
late and talk fast or speak in slang. We should answer all the
questions clearly and directly, bring an extra copy of our CV and
references, continuously keep eye contact with the interviewer,
display sense of humor and self-confidence, dress appropriately for
the interview, get ourselves a strong knowledge of the company,
industry and position, give a firm handshake, know the company that
is interviewing us, look attentive and sit properly and upright in
your chair.
I am very worried with the unemployment because if right now there
is no work for everybody, in the future this will be even worse … I
think that part-time jobs are good, because young people can get
some work experience… And when people want some extra money this
could be heaven, just joking!!!
Maybe later I will look for one part-time and yes if I could, I
would already have one (to buy important things). But part-time jobs
have advantages and disadvantages, too! When we´re studying
part-time jobs can take us precious we need to study and our
concentration…

Future and My Dream Job
I´m good in many
things like sports, technology, drawing, cooking, making thrillers
and videos... In my free time I have some hobbies like listening to
music, being with my friends, going to the cinema, playing
basketball and football, making home videos for YouTube, etc.
I would like to work in multimedia, video and audio productions,
where I could be close to famous actors or singers. I would love to
work on television.
In my opinion I think that part-time jobs are useful for young
people learn how to manage their money and get some responsibility
before becoming adults.

Hello! My name is Vânia
and I’m 14 years old. In my free time I usually join my friends and
we like watching some movies at home, playing computer games,
surfing the internet, horse riding and doing other sports like
football.
Ever since I was very young that my dream was to become a veterinary
but with time I discovered other jobs. Because I "love" justice, I
would like to become a judge. Both jobs would give me some
guarantees, but in the end I only hope to have success with the job
I will choose...
When the time comes that I have to go to a job interview, I will try
to convey the idea of security and confidence and I will defend my
ideas and my professionalism. We must show that we don’t fear new
challenges.
But nowadays the unemployment rates scare me. I’ve put aside the
chances of having a part-time job, although I know they can be good
for young people because they give you an idea of what the labour
market is and a strong sense of responsibility or autonomy. Like
everything in life, part-time jobs have their advantages and
disadvantages... It’s a fact that we have less free time to have fun
and it can be very tiring but, on the other hand we can meet new

Hi! My name is Francisco and I´m a young boy with many hopes and
ambitions for the future, but at the same time I think it´s better
to start searching and preventing for the reality and what the best
options are.
I´m a very energetic person and I like to innovate and create, so if
I had to choose a job right now, I would have these factors in
account. I also like technology and mechanics a lot, because these
are areas with no limits to the imagination and can have a great
impact in our world in a positive and useful way. My dream would be
to have an administration post where I could make a difference and
make possible things happen, because I like to keep myself involved.
But a job that also doesn´t occupy too many work hours of my time
would be just perfect! Nowadays, it´s very hard to get a job so I´m
very worried about my future.
When I get my first job interview, I’ll have to do everything
possible to get the impression that I’m a fantastic worker and real
professional. So you have to look confident by looking into the
interviewer’s eyes and speak with a strong tone of voice. You have
to give him the idea of being someone trustable, sociable by sitting
right and straight in the chair. You have to show that you know what
you are talking about and that you’re the right person for the job!
All these factors are crucial to get the attention of the
interviewer.
In the end we all have to be conscious that the job is a reflex of
what you are both as a person and a professional.

Hi! My name is Ana and
I’m 14 years old. My favourite subjects are Sciences and Languages.
My free time activities are basketball, swimming, chatting on the
internet and reading my favourites books. I really like playing with
children but I also like to defend my friends and help them solving
their problems. So I’d like to go into the medicine or law. Medicine
because I love helping and doing everything to help other people.
Law because I love defending innocent people and making justice, to
change our world into a better place...
I'm an ambitious girl, because I know that
medicine and law are very complicated and difficult areas! I’ll have
to study a lot. But I think that in the future I can be a judge or a
paediatrician and find a good job.
My dream is having my own clinic. So I have 4 months to decide what
area I would like to go. I know I have to go to many jobs
interviews... they are very important to give a good impression. We
should answer all questions clearly and directly, dress
appropriately for the interview and bring extra copies of our CV’s
and references. We shouldn’t chew gum, talk fast or slang and be
late to the interview. I’m worried about unemployment, because there
are many areas where people are qualified and they can’t find a job.
Some of them have to fight and try other options.
I would like to have a part-time job, because I like to have my own
money to buy my things. Having a part-time job is very good to
obtain some experience and responsibility. The advantage of having a
part-time job is the experience and the disadvantages are the less
hours of studying and the little wage. I expect to find a good job
in the future!

Hi! My name is Mário and
I think that there are a few things and clues that can help me and
be useful to choose a future career. For example, I am good at
mental calculus, geometry and mathematic stuff. I can learn new
languages very fast, which is very important nowadays to communicate
with other people, as we are living in a time of globalization. I
often practice sport that gives me a
physical condition to do heavier jobs. I can use my computer very
well and I know many things about electronic and new technology. I
like to build things from ground zero and I love repairing and
playing with electro-mechanic cars and trains replies! That is the
best thing for me because I have a crush for trains. It means I can
get myself into many professions in distinct areas.
My dream job is to become a Mechanical Railway Engineer. I like that
job because I love trains and I love building things, so I can build
trains and railways from ground zero and I can associate technology
to trains and I can investigate or make improvements, which can
start a revolution in the railway world. I want to work in Deutsch
Bahn (German railways) because this is the enterprise that runs the
railway business in Germany and the German railways are the most
developed ones in the whole world.
My future job will be my dream job, too. I have to study hard and I
will catch all the opportunities. I hope I will study in England -
in Oxford or Cambridge universities - because these two institutions
may open some doors to many quality jobs, especially in Germany.
But to get it, there is something that I must do when I go to an
interview and others we mustn’t. We must show the interviewer some
organization, we must make eye contact
with the interviewer, but we mustn’t play with the items on the
desk. We mustn’t talk fast or speak in slang or we mustn’t come
unprepared. Unemployment is a nowadays problem that worries many
people. Those who work, and are afraid to lose their jobs, and those
who don’t work because they can’t find a job that fits with their
qualities.
Nowadays most families are suffering the consequences of a terrible
economical crisis and sometimes students need the money and they
have to find a part-time job. Some students also need a part-time
job to get their own money to buy their own things and to feel more
independent.

Future and My Dream Job
Hi! My name is
Thomas and I love playing video games, doing physical exercise,
playing tennis and skiing. Listening to music, watching my favorite
programme on TV, chatting with my friends or going for a walk in the
city are also some of the activities I enjoy doing in my free time.
My future job has to be related with company management. I also
would like to be a professional tennis player, although I think it
may be difficult to achieve that. I would like to manage a company
because I like to give orders, administrative work and to organize
things. I think I can be that, but I know that I need to have good
marks and be good at everything I do. If I go to an interview, I
will need to keep myself calm and relaxed. I must look at the
interviewer’s eyes; I must talk formally and be polite.
Unemployment is something that worries me, because nowadays there
are more and more people who can’t find a suitable job and…in the
future, there are lots of people who will want the same job as me.
I would like to have a part-time job, because I want to have my own
money…

Hello! My name is Márcia
and in my free time I enjoy dancing, going for a walk, watching TV,
listening to music and reading. In the future I would like to be a
veterinary, because I love animals! I like to treat them and also
because I think this is a job that has a lot to do with me. I just
hope to achieve this goal because I’d love to work in a veterinary
clinic.
If I go to an interview, I should answer all questions clearly and
directly; I should take an extra copy of my CV and some references
with me; continuously make eye contact with the interviewer or
display sense of humor and self-confidence; I should dress
appropriately for the interview, equip myself with a strong
knowledge of the company, industry and position advertised; I should
also look attentive and sit properly in my chair.
Unemployment worries me a lot and I would like to have a part-time
job to earn my own money. That way I could help my family, too. But
I know that having a part-time job also has its disadvantages, as I
wouldn’t have much time to study or do the things I really like.
