Graduation. A Composition on Career Plan
As
I get closer and closer to graduating college, I look for
what it is I was meant to do afterwards, and how I will get there. I
know now that I want to work for a cleaner burning future, without
giving up the fun and excitement of driving and experiencing the
open road like we so love today.
I
am giving myself a few options, since I know there are several
routes I could go once I've gotten my degree. In a decade I would
like to have known that what I am doing is making a difference, and
is beneficial to the world as well as my family; however it may look
at that point. Having started working in a field as new as Fuel cell
technology, I have learned that it is going to take a lot of work
from a lot of extremely dedicated people to make the changes our
world needs to make, but I look forward to being as much help as I
can to make that change occur.
I
have also worked in the field of safety testing, and have learned
from it that dedicated people spend time making sure that the
products you buy are actually safe for operation. I have
participated in research about solar and wind energy production and
hope to be able to make that my life's passion. I think that one of
the biggest things that have changed me is knowing that if I want to
see change happen, I have to help make it happen.
I
can't just sit back and hope that someone else is going to fix
things for me; I have to try to help fix them myself! I hope to use
this knowledge to make a better world for the future, and have a
great time making it come true. I am excited and nervous at the same
time about finishing school so soon, but can only hope that I can
find a company to work for who will help me make a difference in the
state of our existence for time to come.
